Billing & Credits
A credit is charged when we return data. No data, no charge.
Why it matters: misses are free, so you can retry and experiment without watching the meter.
- Tier is irrelevant to cost. Tiers set rate limits, nothing else.
- Bulk requests bill item by item. Send 250 people, resolve 200, pay 200.
- Utility endpoints are always free: validation, normalization, and status.
Watch out: two endpoints bill differently. Contact info charges per data point found, not per request: ask for three, find one, pay for one. Company relationships charge once per company per billing period: every page, both directions, and every re-read in the period cost that one credit.
| Endpoint | Billed when | Not billed when |
|---|---|---|
| Person & company enrich | We return profile data. | We don’t have the profile and can’t resolve it in real time — e.g. a brand-new profile we haven’t ingested yet, or one that has been deleted or restricted by privacy settings. |
| Company match & search | We return one or more candidate companies. | Zero candidates are returned. |
| Vendorgraphics | We return any vendorgraphic data. | No vendorgraphic data is found. |
| Company relationships | The first time we return relationships for a company in a billing period — once for that company, however many pages you read. | The company has no relationships, or you have already pulled it this period (including its other relationship direction). |
| Discover | We return one or more person results. | Zero results are returned. |
| Contact info | Per data point we successfully find. | A requested data point we can’t find is not charged. |
Go deeper: the Check usage endpoint returns credits consumed.
