Matching

Match drugs is broader than the HCP and HCO match endpoints — it accepts three kinds of input:

  • Identifiers — productNdc, packageNdc, and applicationNumber take the and/or/not filter shape; a packageNdc value matches the product the package is sold under.
  • Fuzzy names — proprietaryName (brand), nonProprietaryName (generic), substanceName, and labelerName are fuzzy string matches.
  • Structured attributes — dosageFormName, routeName, marketingCategoryName, deaSchedule, pharmacologic/ATC classes, and more, each as an and/or/not filter.

1. By brand name — the quick path.

{
  "proprietaryName": "zepbound"
}

2. By NDC — the exact path.

{
  "packageNdc": { "or": ["00002150601"] }
}

3. By generic name and attributes — narrow to a formulation.
