Persons & Work Experience
A person record is the unit behind every person endpoint. It carries identity fields (name, location, bio), an array of work experiences, and skill and interest tags. This section walks the record from the outside in:
- Identifiers — the person ID we issue, and why to store it.
- Enrichment Inputs — what person enrichment accepts, and how we resolve a profile URL. For customers with a live contract.
- Work Experience — the employment history array and the company object embedded in every role.
- Roles & Seniority — the normalized job taxonomy used across the whole API.
- Job Change Detection — spotting when someone moves, by re-enrichment or by Discover.
Normalized string fields are intentionally lowercase (
“firstName”: “daniel”, “locationCity”: “new york”). Apply display casing in your UI layer.Freshness#
dateLastUpdated (a full date, e.g. “2026-07-05”) tells you when the underlying profile was last refreshed. If a record looks stale, re-enriching by personId returns the latest available data.
